The TCL Design Contest 2026 – “Lead In Tech - Live In Style” is a creative playground for breakthrough living space ideas, where technology stands at the heart of every experience.

With TCL TVs as the "soul" of the home, the competition seeks designs that harmoniously integrate aesthetics, functionality, and innovation. We aim to transform technology into more than just a utility—it should be a medium that connects, inspires, and elevates modern lifestyles.

In today's living environments, technology has transcended its role as a mere convenience to become a core element in creating experiences and defining personal styles. Embracing this trend, TCL (Vietnam), in partnership with VMARK DESIGN AWARD, proudly organizes the TCL Design Contest – “Lead In Tech - Live In Style” with the mission to:

To enhance brand awareness and position of TCL as a technology brand synonymous with modern lifestyles, showcased through a comprehensive product ecosystem including TCL TVs, TCL Air Conditioners, TCL Washers & Dryers, and TCL Refrigerators.

To spark innovative modern residential design concepts, where the TCL appliance ecosystem is harmoniously integrated into functional, aesthetic, and emotive interiors—inspiring and defining a distinctive living hallmark.

To foster a creative community by attracting young designers and architects to apply TCL products into practical contexts, thereby elevating the professional value and prestige of the competition.

Through the message “Lead In Tech - Live In Style”, the competition highlights the pivotal role of TCL TVs as a central touchpoint—delivering high picture quality, elevating entertainment experiences, and defining spatial aesthetics with their ultra-thin, artistic designs. Simultaneously, the TCL appliance ecosystem such as Air Conditioners, Washing Machines, Refrigerators... is seamlessly connected and operated via the TCL Home app, which creating a smart, convenient, and unified living environment. All elements converge to curate a modern living space where technology, emotion, and style truly flourish together.

The competition offers a creative platform for Vietnamese citizens aged 18 and above, including architects, designers, freelancers, students in related fields, and all individuals passionate about creativity.

Outstanding entries will be featured across media platforms, contributing to the promotion of technology that elevates modern living spaces. In particular, winning projects will be showcased in a dedicated exhibition area and honored at the DESIGNITY 2026 event, as well as published in the Design Yearbook 2026.

Top 50 Public Voting & Honoring Round

The Organizing Committee will select the Top 50 best designs to enter the online voting round and open for public voting on the online competition’s official platform.

Top 10 Honoring

The final results will be calculated based on a weighted score: 50% from the Professional Jury + 50% from the Public Vote. From this shortlist, the Jury will identify the outstanding contestants with the highest combined scores to crown the Champions.

Contest Content

Participants are required to design a living space that integrated with TCL technology, where appliances serve not only serve functional purposes but also enhance the living experience.

The competition is open to all types and styles, encouraging creative ideas concept as long as they clearly demonstrate how technology is applied reasonably and intentionally within the space.

Submissions must clarify how users interact with the space, the role of technology in enhancing comfort and experience, as well as the potential for personalization based on individual needs and lifestyles.

Mandatory Requirements:

All designs must exclusively use products from the TCL ecosystem; no other brands are permitted. Submissions must be original and must not have been previously entered into or used in any prior competitions.

Entry Submission Requirements

Contestants are required to integrate products from the TCL ecosystem into their design concepts (please refer to the TCL product catalogue). Entries should demonstrate strong creative thinking and highlight personal style, while reflecting contemporary lifestyles as well as real user needs within modern living spaces. Designs must ensure aesthetics, overall harmony, and practical applicability when combined with TCL appliances.

Mandatory Criteria:

Integrate TCL appliances such as TCL TV, TCL air conditioner, TCL refrigerator, TCL washer & dryer, etc., into the space logically to enhance convenience and living experiences, accompanied by a clear explanation of the role and purpose of each device.

Apply TCL’s technological solutions to optimize entertainment experience, air conditioner, and daily life care, while clearly stating the benefits of its provided to the user.

Clearly demonstrate the functionality, highlights, and distinctive values of TCL products within the overall designs, ensuring harmony between technology and the living space.

Clearly present the design concept, spatial direction, level of creativity, and the integration of TCL products.

Panel of Judges

The competition is evaluated by a Jury Panel consisting of prestigious experts from the fields of interior design and architecture, along with representatives from international design organizations, associations, and media agencies.

Entries will be assessed by the Jury Panel based on the detailed criteria below, compliance with contest regulations, and design quality.

All votes and decisions made by the Panel are final result.

The Organizing Committee will deduct the personal income tax incurred by the winners and declare tax payments in accordance with regulations. Cash prizes will be subject to a service fee contract to ensure tax declaration complies with the law.

Judging Criteria

All entries will be evaluated by the Professional Jury Panel based on the following 5 criteria

01. Aesthetics & Spatial Harmony

The design should demonstrate a harmonious integration of layout, color, materials, and devices, forming a cohesive and unified composition. The space must convey a clear design language, align with modern living trends, and deliver strong aesthetic value.

03. Level of TCL Technology Integration

TCL products must be integrated logically—rather than as superficial additions—genuinely enhancing the living experience. The design should clearly articulate the role of technology in supporting convenience, automation, and spatial personalization.

05. Completeness & Quality of Presentation

The submission dossier must be presented clearly and coherently with high-quality images, fully conveying the ideas and enabling the Jury to understand and accurately evaluate the design proposal.

02. Functionality & Practicality

The design proposal must ensure a logical spatial organization, optimize functional use, and demonstrate real-world applicability. Proposed solutions should match with user behavior and conditions of use in life.

04. Creative Concept & User Experience

The submission should reflect a distinctive perspective, innovative design thinking, and a strong ability to convey a spatial narrative. The design must not only be beautiful but also create a clear, profound, and inspiring living experience.

Participants

The competition is open to Vietnamese citizens aged 18 and above, including architects, designers, freelancers, students in fields, and all individuals with a passion for creativity.

Contestants may participate as individuals or in groups (with an official representative). There is no limit on the number of entries, encouraging a wide diversity of concepts and design perspectives.

Entry Eligibility

Each entry must be the original work of the contestant, ensuring authenticity and no plagiarism in any form.

Submissions must not infringe upon any copyright, and must not have been previously published, utilized, or submitted to any other competition.

The Organizing Committee reserves the full right to review, reject, or disqualify any entry that does not fully comply with the eligibility and validity criteria.

Product & Design Content Regulations

Entries must integrate products from the TCL ecosystem in alignment with the given design brief, and must not include or depict any products associated with other brands.

Designs should demonstrate a high level of practicality and applicability, aligning with contemporary living spaces while optimizing and enhancing the overall user experience. The use of TCL product imagery within interior design submissions is mandatory.

Regulations on Duplication

All submissions must be original and must not have been previously submitted to or participated in any competitions organized by other brands.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to verify, cross-check, and disqualify any entries found to be in violation of this policy without prior notice. In cases where violations are identified after the announcement of results, the Organizing Committee retains the right to revoke any awarded prizes.

Submission Process

Contestants are required to register via the official website of the contest. Once registration is complete, entries must be submitted through the system provided by the Organizing Committee.

Contestants will receive a confirmation upon successful submission and may be requested to provide additional documentation in subsequent rounds if necessary.
