Arch. ARTUR HOVHANNISYAN

Artur is an architect and urban planner, currently a doctoral researcher at the University of Tokyo, specializing in Urban Planning through Urban Informatics, AI, and Environmental Psychology. With experience in architecture, urban planning, and spatial analysis, he bridges academic research and real-world applications. He holds a master’s degree in Urban Planning and Regional Design from Kumamoto University (Japan) and is now pursuing his PhD at the University of Tokyo. Artur is the co-founder of ZMX, an architectural design firm, and RUX, an urban and regional development consultancy. His work focuses on architecture, urban spatial data analysis, AI-driven modeling of urban form and mobility, and behavioral analytics to support human-cantered design.

At present, his academic work focuses on modeling public sentiments and behavior through artificial intelligence, enabling forecasting and the development of urban and architectural design strategies. His ongoing work combines academic research with practical architectural design, and through hands-on architectural projects, he aims to make cities and the built environment more inclusive and human-centered.
